Hong Kong Disneyland Resort donates 20,000 Park tickets to 18 district councils to celebrate National Day and spread a little Disney Magic

In these challenging times, it’s even more important to make time for fun and laughter. With this in mind and to celebrate National Day, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort announced today that it will donate about 20,000 park tickets to the underprivileged through Hong Kong’s 18 District Councils. Today, the first group of 3,000 people from the Central & Western District, Yau Tsim Mong District and North District enjoyed a magical day at the Park.

The target groups for these tickets are struggling students, single-parent families, minorities and new immigrants from the 18 districts. Mickey Mouse joined Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Managing Director Andrew Kam and Resort Ambassador Law Chi Ho at the kick-off ceremony and welcomed special guests, Legislative Council President the Hon Jasper TSANG Yok-sing; Legislative Council Member (District Council Functional Constituency) the Hon Ip Kwok-him; Director of Social Welfare Stephen Fisher; chairman and vice-chairmen of the District Councils and other district officers.
Managing Director Andrew Kam hopes that these ‘magical’ tours can encourage Hong Kong people to stay strong and optimistic in this difficult environment. “Let me first welcome all the special Guests and families from the three districts here today to celebrate the 60th anniversary of PRC. We are proud to be the venue for such a celebration. Hong Kong is facing many challenges. In times like these, we need to keep our spirits up. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort would like to cheer up the community, and bring joy and energy to everyone here in Hong Kong.” he said.
